About Two Gates Design
One team, from plan to handover
Two Gates Design is a Huddersfield construction company working across West Yorkshire for private homeowners and public sector clients alike. Because we design and build in-house, you deal with one accountable team from the first drawing to the finished building.
Every project — a kitchen extension or a public building — gets the same attention to detail.
Most projects run into the same difficulty: the person who draws the scheme is not the person who has to build it. Drawings get approved that turn out to be awkward or expensive on site, and by then the responsibility has moved on. Keeping the design and the construction in one place removes that gap, because the people making the drawings know they will be the ones standing in front of the work.
We are based in Linthwaite, between Huddersfield and the Colne Valley, which puts most of the towns we work in within a half-hour drive. That proximity matters more than it sounds. Decisions get made on site in the same week rather than over email, and problems get resolved before they turn into variations.
